Stash is a private beta from Cooking for Developers. This page describes the first iPhone version.
Your inventory, quantities, dates, shopping list, recipes, and account information are stored with Convex. Inventory is also cached on your iPhone for quick access. Sign-in tokens are stored in iOS Keychain. Passkey private keys stay with your credential provider; Stash stores only the public credential and verification data.
Speech recognition uses Apple’s speech service, which may process audio on-device or through Apple depending on device and language support. Stash does not upload or store your audio. When you tap Review, the transcript is sent through Convex to OpenRouter and a model provider to extract inventory. Recipe requests send relevant inventory and your cooking preferences. AI requests and responses may be stored by the Convex agent component. Do not include sensitive information in descriptions or preferences.
Expiry reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone when enabled. You can optionally photograph items, select receipt screenshots, or choose PDF receipts. When you tap Find my items, the selected file is sent through Convex to OpenRouter and its model or document-processing providers. Scan files and scan conversations are not saved in Stash’s database. Only the inventory items you select and confirm are saved. Provider processing and retention follow their policies.
Sign in with a one-time email code or Google to access your kitchen on another device. For beta support or a data deletion request, contact the Cooking for Developers person who provided your build. A self-service account deletion option will be added before a public App Store release.
